Flights booked … now what?

NJTwo keen travellers. Overlapping wishlists. The right time of our lives. So what do we do about it? Well, our answer is to jump right in and go for the double whammy: an adventure unlike anything either of us has experienced before and we’re embarking on it as a relatively new couple.

We’re just months away from a round the world trip that will take us from the buzz of San Francisco to the serenity of Angkor Wat at sunrise; from a luxury train across the Canadian Rockies to the clatter of the Reunification Express right through Vietnam.

Here at the end of February, we’ve really only got as far as booking our flights, so we still have loads more to do. We want you to be part of our planning, and of course, the journey itself. We’ll keep you up to date with what we’re working on – from jabs to accommodation, from trips to what to pack – but your advice and thoughts will be invaluable.

The easiest way to be part of this project is to follow this site and you can receive an email every time we post. Just press the button up there on the top right of this page.

  1. If you’re going to India you have to go to Hampi in Karnataka. Magical abandoned ancient city. Go in winter though, gets very hot from March onwards

    1. We made a decision not to go to India on this trip. We have 60 days and we could easily spend that there. But it’s definitely on our list for the future, so thanks for the tip. 😊

And do follow as we will shortly be revealing the itinerary …

  2. Nigel – very excited for you both, just been reading all this – we need a catch up soon. Will let you know when I’m in London so we can catch-up.

  3. This is fab! I have so many people around me who can advise you on SE Asia – itineraries for Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Australia, China, Korea, Taiwan, New Zealand and so on. I have friends who live there or who lived there, or have visited if that is any help?
